One stock, several blockchains: what a trade costs on each
Tokenized stocks now trade on several blockchains, each with its own tokens: xStocks on Solana, Robinhood’s own stock tokens on Robinhood Chain, Coinbase’s on Base, and more on BNB Chain. Every 15 minutes we work out what a round trip costs in each chain’s pools: buy, then sell the same tokens straight back, fees and price impact included. The lower, the cheaper it is to trade there.
US market hours, 12–16 October 2026 (5 trading days) · 26 stocks on two or more chains · the best pool on each chain at each reading · updated 17 October 2026
A $1,000 round trip, the same stock on each chain
Median, in basis points: 1 bp = 0.01%. The cheapest chain for each stock is in bold. Cheapest stocks at the top.

Bars run from 0 to 200 bp: a full bar is 200 bp or more.
How it is measured
- The round trip. Every 15 minutes, for each pool, what $1,000 and $10,000 buy, then what selling those tokens straight back pays, at one moment, from the pool’s own state on its chain. Fees and price impact are included. Nothing is traded.
- The best pool. At each reading we take the cheapest pool for each stock on each chain, then the median over US market hours (9:30–16:00 New York).
- Only pools that trade. A pool counts on a day only if its own price moved during US market hours that day. A pool nobody trades keeps an old price while the stock moves, so its numbers say little about trading the stock that day.
- In the pool’s own coin. A round trip starts and ends in the same coin (USDC, USDT, USDG or SOL), so that coin’s own price does not enter it.
- Not counted. Network fees, moving tokens between chains, and splitting a trade across several pools.
- Not the price inside an app. These are the tokens trading in public pools on each chain, read straight from the chain. What an exchange charges in its own app is not on a blockchain, so it is not here.
A number is shown once a stock has 20 or more readings on a chain, on at least half of the days. No exchange can pay for a better place in our numbers.
